This fall, a Member of Eureka Memorial Post, who wishes to remain hidden, made a series of donations to Eureka Memorial Post in order to give the Post credit for donations to the Missouri VFW Veteran Service Officers Fund.
This Veterans Funding is resulted of the efforts of these Service Officers who stood up to the challenge on fighting for the Benefits earned for this Veteran. With todays environment on the Post's inability to have fundraisers, he decided to generously donate through the Post to answer a challenge made by the Florissant Post 4105 when they donated a large some. To date, this Generous Veteran through the Post has donated 2 $500 installments to the Missouri VFW Veteran Service Officer Fund.
As Missouri VFW has maintained a small staff of dedicated employed Certified Veteran Service Officers whose sole mission is to fight for Veterans Benefits with the VA, the funding is based upon Donations from the Posts and a grant system from the Missouri Legislature. This Grant System in todays environment is problematic.
Donations are very simple to make and Missouri VFW has a PayPal Link on their website. Post 5468 has used it twice now and it does accurately reports that it was made through the Post so the Post got credit as intended by our Generous Veteran. Using the Post Account locked the donation to the Post even tighter.
This is the Premiere Program of the Missouri Veterans of Foreign Wars. It has impacted thousands of Veterans living in Missouri. Let us all do our Part!
